Before Brahka Labs, I ran American Apostille — a document authentication company that helps individuals, law firms, businesses, and government agencies get documents certified for international use. It sounds straightforward. In practice, it's one of the most paperwork-intensive businesses you can imagine.

Every day, we were processing hundreds of documents that needed to be authenticated through a specific chain: notarization, state-level authentication, federal authentication, consulate legalization. The requirements varied by country, by document type, by intended use. The rules changed without warning. And every client had a different situation.

For years, we handled this manually. We had spreadsheets. We had checklists. We had people whose entire job was tracking documents through the authentication process. And we were still missing things, delaying shipments, spending hours on phone calls that could have been automated messages.
